Hydrolyzed Rice Bran Proteins

Hydrolyzed rice bran proteins are obtained from the outer layer of rice grains, in which enzymatic hydrolysis has degraded the proteins into smaller peptides and amino acids. Due to this hydrolysis, their skin penetration can improve, which enables the delivery of active molecules deeper. Hydrolyzed rice bran proteins have a place in skincare for their conditioning and moisturizing character. They contribute to skin hydration, improve its elasticity, and reinforce the skin barrier. In addition, soothing irritated or sensitive skin, anti-inflammatory in nature, makes them more acceptable in a hypoallergenic and natural formulation context.
